Altarpiece replicas are typical of the Ayacucho area in the mountains of Peru.  This altarpiece or retablo décor piece is handcrafted in wood, plaster and ceramic and carefully hand painted by Peruvian artists of Ayacucho. Each figurine inside the retablo is hand shaped, not using a mould, which gives this beautiful piece an inherent artistic value. The scene represents a carnival with two musicians and three dancers.
